If you are not on campus and you notice web pages loading very slowly, you may want to temporarily pause the CrashPlan backup process to free up traffic to and from your computer.

  1. Click on that icon in the top of your computer window and click the word “Pause” and your backup will pause for x.

  2. You can also click on the gear icon and select Pause – 1 hour/4 hours/1 day

  3. Resume by once again clicking on the icon in the top of your window and selecting Resume.
