When Yosemite made its debut, the Safari favorites bar is turned off by default.  The Favorites Bar Menu is  a quick way to access all the sites that you visit most often.  Here’s how to view, add to and edit the Safari Favorites Bar.

Open Safari > click on View >  Click Show Favorites Bar

The Favorites Bar will be directly above your open tabs.Screen Shot 2016-02-08 at 1.53.39 PM.png

The easiest way to add a webpage to your favorites bar is to simply drag and drop it there from the status bar.

To view your Favorites and all your Bookmarks, click on the Sidebar icon. Screen Shot 2016-02-09 at 2.30.43 PM.png    This will open on the left side of your screen.  You are able to visit the page from here and also manage your favorites and bookmarks: add, search, edit or remove your bookmarks.

One more way to view your favorites is to click in the address bar and a drop-down menu will appear with all your favorites as square icons.  Just click on the square to visit that page.
