This has been a GREAT year for the Arts. Each department has thrived, students have won awards, taken risks and had a ton of fun in productions, concerts, classes and in the studio. We are so proud of our students and grateful to spend our year being creative with them!!
To wrap things up: students in the 3D class worked on a joint 3D project over the spring. Over the course of the spring trimester 3D animation students created a final movie using Lightwave. Each student was responsible for contributing a 3D model, then animating a scene of the movie.
The students who worked on this project are: Anthony Borelli (10), Gunner Found (10), Haoran Li, (10), John Sengstaken (12), Tyler Sorkin (12), Elizabeth Wadlinger (10), , Christopher Walker (12), Alexander Weiss (10), and Masey Zegarowski (10). Great job to all the students and to Mr. Burgess!
In Studio Arts, students have been working hard to complete their ocean inspired wire sculptures before the end of the trimester.
And in Advanced Art, students have also been working hard to complete their art projects. We celebrated the end of the year with donuts and a mini art critique.
In ceramics, things heated up as we fired all the final projects! It’s been a great year over in the Art Cottage!
And Performing Arts is so psyched to start next year in the new Performing Arts Center. We have loved the Rogers theater and all of its quirks, but it will fantastic to perform in a state of the art space. Yay!!
We have had a great year, and are looking forward to a restful summer to get ready for the 2014-15 school year. We wish you all the same!!!!
